Do you love Instagram filters? Well, we do too! And now there is even more to love. In honor of Instagram’s announcement of three new filters to its editing suite, we’ve compiled the Instagram Filter Cheat Sheet. So that you can identify the new names you will being seeing, and which filters get your photos the most likes and comments. Instagram also made an addition to hashtags that I am quite excited about. I’ve got all the details about the new filters and the hashtag addition in the post, below.
As described by Instagram, the Lark filter “desaturates reds while punching up blues and greens to bring your landscapes to life.” For inspiration and ideas on how you can incorporate landscapes into your IG photo mix, we suggest taking a look at this article, by Forbes, on the Best Instagram Landscape Photography.
“Reyes brings a dusty, vintage look to your moments,” says Instagram. Can I just stop for a second and say how I love that they call it a moment? Pictures really are a “moment” and if you are posting the photo on Instagram it was probably a great moment.
The third filter is Juno. According to Instagram, “Juno tints cool tones green while making warm tones pop and whites glow for vibrant photos of people.” Who doesn’t love a vibrant photo right? Juno is a great addition to the filters and it gives a great and bright look to your photos.
Instagram made a new addition to hashtags that you will love. Since emojis have become a huge part of the way we communicate, it only makes sense that emojis deserve a hashtag. Now you can add emoji hashtags to your post, and then click on the hashtag to find other users who are sharing the emoji love too. It is going to be quite fun to see which pictures show up under different emojis. Now that you know, you can share the hashtag emoji love on your next Instagram post. #❤️❤️❌⭕️❌⭕️
